
Task Forces
Four task forces have advanced the work of the September, 2007 Tech Valley Civic Forum by forging new connections at the community level. These connections link business, nonprofits, education, and workforce development entities with individuals and groups who may be less knowledgeable about the new economy and the potential opportunities it offers.
Tese task forces will report outcomes and lessons learned at the Tech Valley Futures event on May 29, 2009. Additionally, a final report on the Tech Valley Civic Forum process, lessons learned, and outcomes will be prepared for widespread distribution by the end of June 2009.
The Metrics for Success Task Force
The Metrics for Success Task Force has developed a measurement system for the regional community that collects, analyzes and shares data on a range of social indicators that will provide evidence of progress, status quo, or backsliding with respect to the Tech Valley Futures vision.

The Tech Valley Workforce Network Task Force
The Tech Valley Workforce Network Task Force seeks to bringing to the region’s attention promising local, nationwide and global workforce development initiatives.

The Tech Valley and Community Outreach Task Force
The Tech Valley and Community Outreach Task Force has mobilized to tell the Tech Valley story at the community level and highlight the opportunities that the new economy offers throughout the region.

The New Economy and P-16 Education Task Force
The New Economy and P-16 Education Task Force focused on forging connections between P-16 educators and high-tech business people to share educational experiences that prepare students for the new economy.
