"Connecting High-Tech Growth and Community Well-Being."

Tech Valley Futures culminates a collaborative, cross-sector planning process in the Greater Capital Region that was launched in September 2007 at the Tech Valley Civic Forum. The process was inspired, in part, by a case study sponsored by the Nonprofit Executive Roundtable titled "High-Tech Growth and Community Well-Being: Lessons Learned from Austin, Texas".

The desired outcome of this community effort is to identify and define mechanisms that fulfill the belief that the direct and indirect benefits of our area’s high-tech growth should be shared as broadly as possible.

The May 29 event includes three components: a Policy Forum in the morning, followed by a luncheon with keynote address and culminating with Tech Valley Career Futures in the afternoon.
